Thnks for the info. I was interested in recovering them because I want to install the seat heater A/C, and they have to come all apart. Might as well put new covers on and have brand new fancy seats, if I can swallow the price lol.

They are in nice shape, the drivers seat foam is worn pretty bad. The entrance side where the tear is, you feel the seat frame there because the foam deteriorated away. Apparently this lower cushion is like a one off thing, as well as a few other parts from the 99-02 Denalis, can't buy the replacement foam anymore.

So I'm thinking to swap it to another style of lower cushion foam that's more common. That's a project for later...

I bought 2 Vibrant ultra quiet resonators, I'm going to try to chop them in without to much exhaust fab and see about combating some drone/loudness. I have a long road trip coming up, so that would be nice to tame the exhaust a bit.

I want to do the whole exhaust so this is hopefully a temporary stop gap until I can get the truck on a lift for full exhaust.

Endless projects...

Ok this may seem obvious but buying discounted "used" mufflers on Amazon definitely seem to be Used LOL. I bought the 2 cheapest offerings they had, both of them were attached to a vehicle for sure, sooted up inside. They were sawzalled off pretty nicely on each end though, but the flange is a little short now.... I'll try to make them work anyway.

They don't look to rough overall, the one even came in it's original box so it may not have been used very long at all.

I don't know if those shafts are supposed to have the small tolerances. My 03 Tahoe I grabbed the joint at the bottom of the steering column just below the plastic bearing and it had no movement at all with 265k miles on it.

I don't think the small slop matters. I put some electrical tape to take up the slop on that joint but I don't know if it did anything.

It's back to tight steering without the clunk now.
