iv been searching and haven't found it. I just bought a 17 6.2l a month ago and today it starts the shudder. feels like rumble strips. Should I just go ahead and put a aftermarket converter in or is the new fluid going to fix it. Im under the 60,000 but i just got the tcm back from HP 2 weeks ago so you know what that means. I didnt even tune it yet just unlocked. do they check for tune or just fix it? if i should just replace the TC what tc should i get? i hear the acdelco is junk and it will just do it again. Im so pissed. 3 weeks ago my 2nd gear synchro in my 17 Camaro SS took a shit so thats going to cost me $2k+ now this. i have 3 17 Chevys now and 2 have bad tranys. I can do the labor myself. I have a lift and the tools + factory shop manuals.

I can't speak to the shudder, but call these guys. They're great help.....and if you need a tranny, they can ship you one.

My 2018 6.2 started shuddering with just over 2K miles on it. I took it to the dealership and they flushed the transmission oil and replaced it with a different type. The manager said that the old fluid allowed the torque converter to slip causing the shutter. Since then I haven't felt any shudder granted I've driven just over 500 miles since the repair. The manager told me that the change of fluid has fixed all of the vehicles at that dealership.

So is the fluid they used the wrong spec by GM? Or what? Because that's pretty stinkin ridiculous.
From what I read about this 8spd shudder issue, I don't think the original fluid was "wrong" necessarily. GM can't seem to officially diagnose the root cause of this shudder, but admit it exists. So swapping to this Mobil 1 is kind of a band-aid solution in hoping it settles things down.

There is a service bulletin out for this issue.
#16-NA-175: Shake and/or Shudder During Light Throttle Acceleration Between 25 and 80 MPH (40 and 128 KM/H) at a Steady State -

My 8speed just started having this issue at 57,000 miles. I took it to dealer and they flushed the tranny with 20qrts of GM special trans fluid at no cost to me.

So far it has corrected the issue. Apparently the factory fluid collects moisture and causes the shudder.

My 2018 5.3 8 speed had the same issue with 16K on the clock. I took it into the dealer for the "special fluid" change and so far so good with the transmission shifting like it should. Even from day 1 with the truck it seemed like the TC was delayed when shifting. The shifting seems more firm with no shudder currently

took it to another dealer and they did the flush under warranty no problem. then found both oil cooler lines leaking and are replacing them under drivetrain warranty too. the dealer i bought my truck from can suck it. they said they went through the truck. ya right. Iv bought 2 new Silverados 2 new Camaro 2SSs and 2 used Silverado from them and they wont work on my truck i just bought from them to do warranty repairs.

A lot of the dealers around me pretty much make it impossible to schedule anything with them besides quick fluid flushes or oil changes. If you call them for anything else they will tell you that they can't get you in for 6-8 weeks. But if you walk in tomorrow morning without an appointment and ask for oil change they will get you in. Unfortunately it is how a lot of the service departments have decided they want to do business to maximize their dollar per hour.

Hopefully people are saying that when/if they get surveys from the dealer about their experience.
