Spark Plug Torque?

Is there a proper spec for spark plug torque on these engines? I recently changed mine and after a week of driving 3 of them came loose. Really bothered me because I thought that I used a lot of torque when I put them on, more so than I've down with other cars in the past.

Now don't discount this hypothesis until you fully consider it.

Three plugs to come loose seems odd. Last year we had another member that went to O'Reilly's, told the clerk the model, year and engine of her truck and then entrusted the guy behind the counter to give her the correct plugs for her truck. Yeah, you know where I am going with this. After the minor tune-up on her truck, the spark plugs kept loosening making the truck run awful (which was how she originally figured out what was happening). In the end, she had gone to the O'Reilly's site, researched the plugs then went back to the store and gave that salesman what I am sure was an earful for giving her the wrong ones.

So before you think you didn't "torque" them enough, check and make sure you were given the exact ones for your engine. Even if you told them what you needed, doesn't mean that they gave you the correct ones or that the product in each individual box was the correct product.

I just torqued them reasonably tight by hand. Had no torque wrench so I just used common sense. But now you are making me want to go check them and make sure they're still tight. I'm assuming they don't need to be torqued too high, wouldn't want to chance stripping those threads or it never coming out again lol.
