I have a 2021 GMC 1500 and my 7-plug trailer plug and wiring works fine, but when I try to hook up a 4 flat pin trailer plug nothing works. I've tried two different adaptors 7- pin to 4 pin and neither work. I tried a test plug and the test lights just flashes rapidly? Any suggestions? Fuses seem to be fine. Much appreciated

Thanks Yes, each pin seems ok and un able to see ground. If ground was bad I would think my 7 pin wouldn't work? But thanks, I keep digging.
I would think it is a ground problem too. Many times the trailer will get the ground from the Ball.
Fast flashing is a normal sign of LED testers and trailer lights. They do not draw the power (AMPS) that standard lamps do.

Thanks Larry, Ill relook at the ball and shine it up. I can't even see any direct ground wire on these new trucks. I also wonder if I damaged the ground on the truck plug when I put in the 7 pin plug. But my big trailer works fine with the 7 pin. Might have to rewire the 4 pin to a 7 pin plug. Thanks for feedback Steve
