Did you check the rpos in the glove box? Or is it not there?

Check the glove box for rpos!

As far as which fluid, Z15(mike) can tell you what is required... Pm him!

MW3 is the trans with low gear
MG5 does not

My info says MW3 was NOT used with V6 engines but you have to verify the option codes on the RPO label in glove box.

 

Theres the drain and fill bolts at the back of the tranny. theres also a big bolt on the very bottom that when you removie it it has the bolt with it hollow in the middle and it has a long spring in it, and it has a metal sleve that looks like a bullet and its hollow inside. and i dont remeber the order when i took it out im not sure if it goes bolt, spring, sleeve? or if it goes bolt, sleve spring it could work either way?

 

I am sorry I have never personally changed fluid on that trans so I cannot be of any help on that. My info shows the capacity is 4.2 pints or 2.1 quarts.

The correct fluid is AMSOILL Synthetic Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid 5W-30 - Product Code: MTFQT-EA

 

If you go to any GM dealer with your VIN they can look up and print out your "Build sheet" for your car for free...They can also tell you exactly what you have in there...I did it a few weeks back...FYI
