Window squeak

Here's the deal. I have a 2016 CC 4X4 LT and the passenger side front window squeaks something fierce when I roll it up or down. I've sprayed the seal with silicone a couple of times. Tonight, I got a little more ambitious and curious. And what I've found is the squeak is coming from inside the door panel. It looks like a piece of styrofoam or something inside the door, placed there for safety I assume, is rubbing the glass and it making the noise. I didn't want to remove the seal that is glued/siliconed to the door from off until I got some feedback. I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks

You can glue or tape moisture barrier on. If you touch the styrofoam with a rag dipped in acetone right where it's rubbing, it will melt it out of the way, it doesn't take much acetone to do it, so don't melt it into a mess all over everything ;)
And don't get it on anything, paint, door panels, carpet etc

So the dealer tech can snap your door panel clips for you and not bother to tell you....

I know I know.....was just being goofy. I would certainly have them address any issues if I were under warranty. But I would also watch them like a hawk.

Yes but then you have a record of them breaking it and they will pay for a new panel vs the owner doing it. They also have all the panel puller tools and know where the clips are.

You pay for a B2b warranty, use it.

agreed. I use the crap out of mine. Its the reason you buy new! If they wouldn't turn out garbage these days and have some quality control it wouldn't be an issue.
