I see a lot of posts about AFM/DOD delete but not much on the tuning after. 2011 4wd Silvarado 5.3L. I have lifter ticking so going to do a full AFM and VVT delete. My friend who owns a shop and does a lot of LS work recommended the BTR TRUCK TORQUE CAM - 30202111R1, SPECS: 202/202 .511/.511 111+1 for a mild upgrade while I'm changing everything anyway. I was told that I shouldn't even start the truck before a new tune is installed in the ECM and that I should have a dyno tune. Adding about $500 to this project, does that sound right?
