Hey fellas. Recently I had a check engine light code throw for my "oil pressure sensor" my oil pressure was lower than usual (15 idling and 22 driving) I was like oh okay no biggie just the sensor is bad, checked the oil level and it was full. I replaced the sensor but still no change. Here is where I start getting worried. So I start digging into the forum and came across a guy here on silveradosierra that had the same problem. He said he changed brand oil filters and it fixed his problem. At first, I was skeptical but I was due for a oil change anyways so it couldn't hurt. I went to AutoZone to pick up a filter and decided to go with a Bosch Premium 3334 this time instead of the AcDelco PF48E. I compared the 2 filters and the Bosch appears to be a much better built filter. The AcDelco has a plastic screen where the Bosch is metal so I was like hmm. Fast forward to start up after the new filter and oil and WALAH! Problem fixed! My oil pressure is back to normal and no check engine code. My good friend that's a technician at the local stealer even said the new AcDelco filters are JUNK! I've always ran AcDelco oil filters but after that I will not! Hope this helps some folks! Might want to reconsider those AcDelco filters next time!
