So I have acquired a cb radio form a friend who no longer had a use for it . I was looking to install the radio but I'm unsure what to do for an antenna...... I personally don't like the the dule 3 ft wipes in the box. I was winding if any one has come across a hiddent cb antenna ( I have been looking for maby a flat antena) or if there is a way to hide a single antena ??? Just looking for ideas

you will get interference.. you probably will get the annoying whine in your radio or get staticy station interference on the cb; which ever is greater. if your antenna is long enough or is a long whip that extends to the rear, this will be minimal. This is increased by the wirings being close together since neither are shielded.

this i why radio antennas are put on the opposite side of the antenna mast for the radio and/ or in the bed

people put them on the bed rails, roof, and mirrors (well in the old days) and opposing side of the radio antenna, or they find a shielded type antenna, that costs more. Its also a good idea to make sure wiring is right, and secure/ protected..nothing like a ground cable rubbing on the frame

I have my CB antenna mounted right across from the radio antenna and didn't get any interference. Although I was running a 4 foot antenna so that might be why like BogginChevy said. I love my mount though, no drill and it looks as factory as it possibly can. Install was a pain in the butt though but that's only because of where it mounts and I installed it back in February.
