Hello all. I was reading through this post here: rough country ball joint boot since I have the same exact issue. However, I bought my control arms in 2019. My design is the beefier, more squarish design as opposed to their original, all rounded arm design.

My question is, is the ball joint itself still the same? I am looking into ordering the boots in that post but wanted to make sure they are the same before I do so. I have installed 2 ball joints on the drivers side now due to the boot tearing on install :mad: and at this point would prefer to replace the boot rather than the ball joint that is brand new.

Here are the boots that OP linked in the thread I linked. Ball Joint Dust Boots - Chevrolet Corvette - 9.13127

Good call honestly. I just called them because I wanted to also see if I could add the little plastic dust cover to my order, which they did! :) I also asked if the ball joint itself changed when they changed the design and he told me it did not. So I assume I should be able to buy the same boots that OP linked in his post. I may just do that and if I fail to replace the boot, at least I have a new ball joint I can put in...again.

UPDATE: The replacement boots worked GREAT. So far so good, but the coming months will of course tell.

For anyone wondering, I called Moog and asked for the dimensions on their boot, the one that most closely resembles the part number that Rough Country uses. Below are the dimensions that I was given. I also have determined that Rough Country must be using some Chinese ball joints or something cheaper because I cannot seem to find the part anywhere online. In any case, enjoy.

small end: .698 - 17.72mm
inside big end: 1.506 - 38.25mm
1 1/8th tall - 28.575mm
