Just recently purchased this truck, and it has bad negative camber. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to help fix it. It wiggles from side to side and is solid up and down. The tie rod does have some play in it when i wiggle it, but other then that everything feels solid. It rides smooth and i have no issue with it other than its ruining tire tread. Previous owner said he got tboned by someone going 40 and thats what caused it. Thanks for the help.

Well, anything hitting the wheel from the side opens up the possibility of frame damage. The upper and/or lower a-arms could be bent as well.

Have you considered getting it to an alignment and/or frame shop and have evaluate the truck?

start with an alignment and go from there. The shop will tell you what is bad and preventing them from aligning it (usually with a little extra parts on top, so be wary). If the front end is solid still, they will be able to measure for an out of square frame as well. I would recommend a shop that does trucks, or the dealer, rather than a firestone/chain tire store. You want a place that has reputable career mechanics and not underpaid techs that only R&R stuff.

Based on age and appearance, it would look like you're due for a front end rebuild. Just make sure the frame is good before you put too much money into it.

Looking at the adjusters on the UCA and all the bolts not haveing any shiny on them (showing no tools have been on the nuts/bolts) that means it was in the accident, and then cheaply fixed since it never got an alignment afterwards.

I'd be pretty leary about the truck and have it inspected. A 40mph hit is pretty serious, so what was damaged, what was replaced, or the previous own is full of shyt.

1st thing is figure out where the damage was supposedly done. 40 mph means a new bed, or new cab, or entire new front clip. If none of that has been replaced, then where was it hit?
